Are you getting the true benefits of your Lean implementation?
What does "Lean" mean to your company? Often, company's install a few key "tools" of lean, such as 5 S's, or SMED, or kanban and think they have implemented "Lean." Nor is Lean a means to cut headcount; in fact, when implementing Lean there should be a "no layoff" policy as a result of the improvements created. A key element of Lean is flow or moving a process from batch to flow. Integrating all Lean techniques into a master plan with specific goals for improvements is something QMS knows how to do well. Lean, then becomes a journey of continuous improvement towards perfection.
The QMS "Lean" assessment includes, but is not limited to:
- Review of your demand data
- Determine if there is adequate repetitive demand to support Lean flow
- Review of any existing value stream maps
- Identify areas of opportunity for value stream mapping
- Identify and evaluate the push and pull of your processes
- Identify area where pull processes could work
- Identify and evaluate all Lean techniques previously implemented
- Review of inventory accuracy and tools to correct and maintain accuracy
Are you ready to do more with less; with QMS Lean assistance.
