Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) Courses

  APICS CPIM:

To obtain the APICS CPIM certification a candidate must pass five examinations as follows:
  1. Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM)
  2. Master Planning of Resources (MPR)
  3. Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP)
  4. Execution and Control of Operations (ECO)
  5. Strategic management of Resources (SMR)

Although a candidate may take any CPIM exam at any time, and in any order, there is a logical progression to the material. The recommended order to take the examinations is the order they are listed above.

The CPIM curriculum covers the key concepts of production and inventory management within a manufacturing operation. This curriculum takes a "deep dive" into the planning and control elements of a typical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
